Google Supplemental Index - How to fight it?

Hey All!

Recently I faced the problem that some pages from my main projects revealed in Google Supplemental Index.

This can be viewed by getting in Google, input in Google command line site:www.yourdomain.com . There you will see pages that are indexed and those that are marked with "Supplemental Index"

While reading WebmasterWorld Forum, I discovered some opinions that Google puts into Supplemental Index those pages, that It believes have less weigh or as you wish importance on the Internet. And this is not that really good for your site in whole - there is a tendancy that Google will put your whole site into Supplemental Index and later won't let you rank in SERPs.

So I asked my self - What can be done to this? How can I get pages back in to normal state (Google Index)...

Here are some tips, that I have dicovered for now:

1. Create unique meta tags for each page.

2. Remove any site wide links from you site

3. Eliminate duplicate content

4. Get more quality backlinks (link this page from homepage, other sites, blogs)

That is all I have discovered on the matter but as soon as I get more info will definitelly share...
